One hole in the rotor?
Yesterday I just noticed that there is exactly one hole in each rotor. I mean on the friction surface, where if you get drilled rotors you find tons of them - but literally just one in each disk. My cousin came by and I checked the other GLC and same thing. On all four wheels at that.
What are these? Googling is nearly impossible because of the terms used, but the mystery has been bugging me. Anyone?

Wear indicators. The depth of the holes is the minimum allowable rotor thickness.

2019 GLC300 4matic
decorily,
Yes, they are dimples, they are not holes. I have a 21019 GLC300 4matic with only10,000 miles and on one back wheel rotor there are three dimples and two seem very, very shallow???
I think such "wear indicators" are a great idea IF accurate....
