Love the looks and would like to install it on my '16 GLC 300 but $500???
So I turn to the aftermarket and see some of the higher rated units are a quarter of the price...BUT would installing it void my warranty?

I have one I did installed on my old GLA and they saw it when I have my first service and they where impressed. I took it off when I sold it , But that was from a car without radar otherwise you cannot install that light if you have the radar( shiny Merc logo). Easy install 2 wires only. Just undo the negative wire when you go for service. They wont find it. Of course at your own risk.

Looks great, so what's the deal with the Driver Assistance Package? Looking at a buying a new 2020 GLC 300 and in the dealer ordering guide it says the illuminated star is not available with this package.

Because with the Driver Assistance Package, there will be camera and/or sensors placed inside the MB logo at the front, thus changing it from metal shape to all-glass shape. So those lights can't be installed.
