After purchased the vehicle, have you bought any maintenance package with any discount? Thank you.

No I did not, I do my own maintenance on our vehicles. Being an antique car/hotrod enthusiast I have a decently equipped shop with a lift and can do most anything required in-house.

Unfortunately, I'm looking for a special color, minimally-optioned; scanning various dealers' inventories one like that never shows up. That makes it an ordered vehicle, and I've been told that by a few dealerships.

Just re-asking what discounts people are getting right now. My dealer offered $2k off plus the fleet incentive on a special order 2020 glc300 AWD. That seems a little low.

I was able to get 11.4% off MSRP. You should go on MBUSA build out the specs and the email it to multiple dealerships and see who gives you the best deal. You know what people are getting take 11.4-16% of the MSRP of your build and that is the price range you want to pay. Ask them the out the door price including taxes and fees etc.

Communicate via email only until you find a suitable deal.

Im not sure. The first offer I got was 11.4% from a dealer a few hours away after emailing multiple dealers. The dealer did not require a deposit or for me to come in until the car was ready for pick up. For this convenience I did not push for more although I probably could have.

If you are trying to get 16% not sure where you live then you have to reach out to several dealers in your area. Give them the PDF of your build specs and ask them for their best offer. I did this by putting my zip code on MBUSA and sending a query to the dealers in my area and then moving further out.

If you want 16% off, then calculate what that is for your build including the delivery fee and give then a range 16% being on the low end and may 10% off on the high end. Tell the dealer via email this is the range you are looking to pay. Ask for out the door pricing including tax, title, fees etc

I ended up ordering at 14% off MSRP + destination charge. The deal isn't finalized as the car is still being built (1st decade January, ie this week) and shipped but hopefully the dealer wont play games when it's time to pick up and pay for the car.

Based on my delivery experience this week they will not. If you already have gotten the price with all the fees it will be a breeze. They will ask if you want to drive it first or go straight to the paper work. The finance manager will try to sell you the typical extras but other than that it should go smoothly.

I would take that deal on a special order just the way you want it. I’m thinking about placing an order. Would like to use dealership closest to me which is a couple of miles away. It’s a small dealership though compared to others in the city. Not sure if that will make a difference. I have test driven there a couple of times and I like my salesman.

Hey guys, first time poster.
I probably should've searched more but I did not know about the existence of this forum.
I just place a custom order with 10% off and I'm regretting after seeing all other discounts.
Do you guys think I can ask for more discount when it is time to make the full payment or will that be hard to do?
First time custom ordering a car.

Most states give you 72hrs to change your mind on a contract, that is your opportunity to back away from the deal and when they ask why you tell them of the much better discounts available elsewhere and you might just be amazed at how quickly they offer to match them to save their deal. You can definitely do better than the 10% they are offering you, good luck.

Where do you get the email to the multiple dealerships? I only see a form on the site where you can submit a request..
Is that what you used?

Thanks

In the Chicago market the largest discount on an ordered car stands at 12.25% off. I chose not to take that, and instead have widened my search to a reasonable (read: not 1 or 2 thousand miles away) radius.

People on Edmunds have supposedly been getting in the 19 to 20% off range in California. I'd sure like proof though, and would obviously take that deal in a second.

10% off on a car that, in dealers' own words, "is worth about half the sticker in 3 years" simply does not suffice. Not on a Civic, not on an S class, and not on anything in between. For me, at least.

The 3 day "cooling off period" does not apply unless the dealer came and solicited you (e.g. rang your doorbell, and you signed then and there).

Going to the dealership, buying a car and driving it off the lot and three days later wanting your money back would not void the deal. Ordering a car with a deposit and subsequently backing out is,however, revocable unless dealer has clause that your deposit is non-refundable.

Is 16%off MSRP the out the door price people are paying?

Is the 16% off msrp before or after taxes licensing and fees .

it is always before taxes and fees as those will vary depends on where you live. I provide them with my zip code where the vehicle will be registered to get the out of the door pricing so I know exactly what I will be paying.

On the app (don’t have pc in front of me)
Go to Research/pick a brand/model/yr/see cars for sale/customize/just below Negotiation Insights you will find DAYS ON LOT

Hope that makes sense

Thanks! M-B of Cantonville,MD is close to me.
