too much to ask?
coming from audis I am used to getting 6-7% off as a lifetime member of audi north america. looking at the new glc 43 and it has all the upgrades I want and I want to order one. sales guy says he cant do better than 3% off and I am lucky because the gm doesnt want to do anything off because its a 2020. same guy who tried to give me 6% off on a 2020 gle that is on the lot. not my first buy from them either. should I settle for 4% and make the deal or hold for 5-6%?

How many dealerships (different owners) are within 2-3 hours or closer to you? Definately hold off for 6% or higher. I'm ordering a 2020 GLC and two different dealers didn't even hesitate when I offered 6% off. linus69 replied to my pricing post saying some dealers go as high as 16%. At 16% would be worth flying up and driving it back down!

6% off MSRP puts you right about at invoice if the info. I have is accurate. I would not expect much more on a 2020. I ordered mine at $400 over invoice and could have done a little better if I was willing to dance longer. I find the process unpleasant when you start "nickel and diming". I had already worn out my salesperson with all my concerns about maintaining a German car.

1st - I believe the OP is talking 2020 - and not outgoing 2019 - so any dude who refer's you over to "the people that can do 16% off a 2020 GLC" - since he DOESN'T OWN a 2020 - probably smokes Camel straightrs fropm the '70's too...
Here in the US - with 2020's just delivered to the dealers the past 3-4 weeks - best time to "hit it" was last weekend - and if you are planning to build/order you better hit the dealer soon.. or for delivery this calandar year you may "miss the boat" literally.
For reference - on Euro Delivery - you also save with no $995 Destination charge - and works well for a "unique experience" - but remember your ED rig will take 6-8 weeks for re-pack/shipment back to the US.
FYI - MB employee/friends-family" is 12% off when the new 2020 qualifies late November .
