Cruise control, doesn't reset.

Hi All,
My issues with cruise control,
When I drive in 35 miles speed zone I engage cruise control and set it to 35 all good.
When I passed the zone I disengage cruise control and accelerated to the higher speed lets say 60. If I engage cruise control now it goes back to 35 (last number) and another way around if I was cruising at 60 and down to 35 and engage cruise control it starts accelerate immediately.
Question is why its not picking up the current speed and keeps it?
Do I need to do something special to archive that?
Thank a a lot for your comments.

Page 199 of the manual:

# To activate cruise control: press rocker switch 2 up (SET+) or down (SET-).
The current speed is stored and maintained by the vehicle.
or
# Press rocker switch 3 up (RES).
The last stored speed is called up and maintained by the vehicle.
If the last stored speed has previously been deleted, the currently driven speed is stored.
When you switch off the vehicle, the last stored is cleared.

# To increase/reduce speed: press rocker switch 2 up (SET+) or down (SET-) to the pressure point.
The stored speed is increased or reduced by 1 mph (1 km/h).
or
# Press rocker switch 2 up (SET+) or down (SET-) beyond the pressure point.
The speed is increased or reduced by (10 km/h).

I know how it operates, what I don't understand is when cruise control was turned off after driving 35MPH with control on and car accelerated up to 60MHP and cruise control engaged again it bring stored 35MPH and slows car down, instead of reading the current speed at the time when control was engaged and maintain it. The same thing is for
60MPH on cruise,
turn off cruise control,
slow down to 35,
turn on cruise control to stay at 35,
Control will accelerate to 60 because it was stored.
I want it to be reset and pickup my current speed when Im turning it On.

There is no "turning cruise on". You either resume, which seems to be what you are doing, or you set a new speed.

DanD Hi, have you managed to select 'Speed Limiter' by mistakenly pushing end of selector stalk IN. If so just push it IN again to release it.

The manual is a little obtuse. When you turn it back on by pulling the lever towards you it acts like resume and will attempt return to the last speed. What you need to do is get to the new speed you want (35) and push the lever up. It will then set the speed control to the speed you are going.

Thank you, this is exactly what I was missing. Instead of pulling towards me I need to push it up. I can do that.

Still, I think it would be logical to read the current speed at the time when I pull it towards me. If I pushed it down or used brakes it means Im done with this speed, would be nice. But well, I have a way to get what I need.

Thank you all.

If you're cruising at 65 and tap your brakes because of a left-lane snail, when he moves over you want to resume cruising at 65, right? It would be very annoying to not have the concept of resume. It's your choice -- resume or reset to current speed. Why is this not logical?

Is absolutely logical, because there is an option to pull it up.
