Lack of bass when listening to Pandora

When listening to Pandora to my 2018 GLC 43 (bluetooth or via cable,) I notice that there is a severe lack of bass. I tried streaming from music that is on the phone and there is _some_ bass, but that was after using an EQ preset (bass boost)

I have changed the audio quality setting in the app (iOS) to HIGH.

Any ideas? Is this a streaming limitation?

Thanks in advance.

Bluetooth uses compression to reduce the size of the file being streamed. So, all frequencies are limited and some, severely in order to deliver the file. Hence, all of the good sonic range you’re used to hearing with your CDs and high def FM broadcast is compromised.
You could just connect your phone via cable to one of the USB inputs in your console auxiliary inputs. That will avoid the additional Bluetooth compression.
