Hi all, first time poster so sorry if this isn't the right place/worded correctly. I recently ordered a 2020 GLC and did not get the lighting package, mainly because I don't like the automatic high beams. Don't get me wrong, its a very cool feature, but the road my house is on is too windy to the point that I can't really go over 10, meaning high beams are never turned on. Nevertheless, I was wondering if anyone had the stock LEDs and felt they were bright enough. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you turn the light knob from auto to on you have full control over the auto high/low beam feature like the old days

Right, but if the only difference between the two packages (since full LED lights are standard now) is the auto high beam, I don't see paying for an option I would just turn off from the onset. I also realize the package would include the cornering lights.

I'm presuming you are US ...and so I'm not really clear on the 'package' you refer to.....however the Intelligent LEDs with the cornering lights are brilliant for narrow, winding country roads!

I have the standard LEDs and they are fine. Plenty bright enough with good reach and pattern. I would have liked the Intelligent system (my wife has a similar setup on her car and I like it), but I was already close to $10K in options and I had to stop somewhere. The standard setup is good, though.

Note that the auto function is NOT the only difference. The two options use totally different LED systems.

I think the standard LEDs are better looking, IMO.

Cornering is precisely where you want the ILS lights. I would not skip this option.

For night driving the more light the better for me.

Agree, visibility is the key. Adaptive lights/ILS, or whatever is the latest marketing buzzword, are must have in my opinion. Ever since 2004....

Guys - i just picked up my 2021 GLE that has the Exterior Lighting Package. I have it turned on (I think) but do not see any differences. Can not find much info online on this. Hopefully I am not doing anything wrong.

Any assistance would be helpful.
