2018 GLC coupe check engine light
My 2018 GLC coupe has 29,000 miles and the check engine light came on today. Must say I’m a little surprised that this came on with so Few miles. Just curious what the potential problem could be. I’m going to set an service appointment with my local dealership but was just curious is folks with similar mileage have experienced this and what the issue was?

There are any number of potential issues that could trigger a CEL, you really need to scan for codes to narrow it down. If you have, or know someone who has a code reader you can get an idea of what's happening. Otherwise you will have to wait for the dealer to run a scan. In the meantime (although it's maybe a simple issue) I'd limit the miles you put on the car just in case.

My check engine light just came on. 2016 glc300.
I ordered a blue driver reader. It'll be here Friday. Hopefully it's just the $1.14 gallon of gas I put in it a week ago. Ordered Seafoam to clean things up.

funny enough my 16 GLC just had the light come on after getting some gas. Hopefully it goes away in a few days…

You can buy an inexpensive code reader (Autolink, etc) for less than $50 all day long. Pays for itself the first time. Emissions-related codes are standardized and begin with a "P" otherwise it will be a manufacturer specific code. When the "check engine" light comes on, you really need to know the code in order to fix the problem... could be simple, could be complex/expensive. Without a code, you are just guessing. Good luck on your issue!

"Ordered Seafoam to clean things up" - so 1980 of you... to Clean Up the fuel delivery and injection system use 1/2 bottle Stabil Marine Fuel Stabilizer (Blue Bottle) - the "issue" with fuel this time of year is the changeover from "Winter" to "Summer" pump formulations.... including dang ethanol.. Stabil Marine does the trick nicely, really.
