2020 glc 300 or problems
Bought a used 2020 glc 300 with 4000 miles 2 weeks ago. Took a long drive For the my wife's birthday this weekend maybe 300miles. All went well till maybe 50 miles I mmm gas. Made a right turn and check engine light came on blinking and engine was sputtering on a really low rpm so I pulled over not knowing what to do. Killed engine and restart, and started normal. No CEL. put in gear and didn't want to move so i shifted to eco and was able to make it to our hotel.went to gas station and filled up and had shifting issues. And CEL was back on solid. Was able to return to hotel and just called roadside and had it towed to nearest area dealer. They said it returned no codes and service mgr was going test drive. It died on him on the road and he had to be towed back. They will have another look tomorrow. They asked what type of fuel we put in and weve done it 3x with premium. Has anyone experienced this? This is my wife's car and she's scared of the what ifs and she really doesn't want the glc back being preowned. Thanks!

Woah. NOT a good first impression. Hope this isn't a lemon. MB's are generally pretty reliable cars. Hope they get it fixed and there are many problem free miles after that.

I don't know why people get so upset when a car has an issue, there are thousands of things that can fail on every car on the road, odds are that something will act up at some time, that's why there is a warranty on the car. Really first world problems here. Take it in, get your loaner while they fix it, and go on with life. It's a minor inconvenience at best, not the end of the world.

No one upset here. Just sharing experience and asking if anyone has had this issue. Wife's 2020 glc300 that was bought 3 weeks ago. Go on a long drive For her birthday and we get stranded. Week later and MB deciding on if cars worthy to fix. Happened on another state so no loaner since we cant cross state line.

Well, if MB decides not to replace the engine, they should give you a new car. It sounds more like you'll be getting a new engine.

They found a defective valve in one cylinder and mercedes engineers are looking at it. I guess this MB process takes a while. Our purchasing dealer are keeping quiet with no communication and the repair dealer somewhat communicate. Funny we got a call from service dept of purchase dealer that coolant is low and might need service. I guess she wasn't aware and they were surprised we've had the car less time than the repairing dealer.

Guess the valve pictures dealer took was inconclusive. Sounds like MB deciding on new engine or buyback according to repairing dealer. Still no contact from purchase dealer or corporate. They've been keeping us in the dark all this time.

We took delivery of the car 2 days ago after them putting in a new engine. Took over a month from when it broke down to delivery. Got a call from the sales guy that theyre throwing in maintenance for 3 years. Yesterday the coolant light came on and wife took to local dealer to top off. Normal with new engine they say.air bubbles.
