2018 GLC 300
ASSYT Plus issue
Got my 2018 GLC 300 serviced the other day at my normal shop (non dealership) and after servicing they had an issue resetting the service interval indicator. It showed the service was overdue by 13000 miles. I returned to the shop and they apologized and went to reset it. Well for some reason they couldn't reset it, getting a message that service could not be carried out. They hooked the computer up to it and still couldn't get it reset, they did get it so it is only 7200 miles overdue, so moving in the right direction somewhat. The manager said the vehicle is good to go and that they would research it and get it figured out and call me. The message is in gray not the yellow color normal messages are displayed in and the mileage never changes for the amount over due, it is still 7200, even though I have driven.
Any insight would be appreciated.

The place specializes in European cars, they have worked on it before, never an issue. The issue is that when you go to reset the service interval it says the service could not be completed and it won't allow it to reset. Also the message is in gray, not the normal gold colored font.
