Washed the car today and while wiping down the door jam discovered that it was made in Finland. I am surprised by that. I thought they are made in Germany.

My 2020 GLC was built 5/20 in Bremen, Germany. According to a few different internet sources including those specializing in the automotive field, this is where GLC's are currently built:
"Currently, the GLC is being assembled at several locations across the globe. In Germany, the present-day SUV comes together at the Bremen plant. Elsewhere in Europe, the car rolls-off assembly lines operated by Valmet Automotive in Uusikaupunki, Finland, while the Chinese variant is sourced from Beijing, with the help of Beijing Benz Automotive Corporation (BBAC) joint venture."

Model Year 2017 US model built March, 2017 in Finland. Mine was built right around the time when they first started making them there.

Valmet is good, they used to produce some Porsches too. Prior to the 2020 refresh some of the GLCs imported to the US were made in India
