2020 Eco vs Comfort vs Sport vs Sport Plus

Has anyone done a detailed mileage per gallon comparison on the various drive modes of the '20 GLC? I drive mine in Eco 99% of the time, but I am wondering if it really makes that much of a difference in doing so.

I am sure there is... I bet it's appreciable too. My uneducated guess would be 3+ mpg for Sport. You'll be driving it harder (since you set it to Sport) and it will hold revs longer during pulls. Excitement always comes at a price. (My GLC hasn't been delivered yet...)

Yeah, I'd think it'd be somewhere in that range. I really need to drive mine more in Sport. I drive in Eco probably around 90% of the time.

I hope you love it. When do you get it? Mine was delivered to my house last June. It was my first Mercedes and I'm really enjoying it thus far.

I will love mine. My 2nd MBZ. 2003 C320 back in the day. Ordered GLC300 Dec30, deliver maybe April in California. Boat takes a lot longer to the west side.

I see. You literally ordered yours from the plant in Germany. I found mine at an out of town dealership in the US (Originally Texas, but then shipped to Illinois) and it was delivered via truck to my home here in MO.

I experienced an increase of around 1mpg for each successive mode. I drive the RW GLC300. So going from Eco to Sport+ implies an additional increase of around 3mpg.
But it's all worth it. I select the mode that best fits the conditions I drive, without being concerned about the mpg.

Maybe I will try this out. As I said in a previous post, I drive mine in Eco like 99% of the time and don't take advantage of the power/fun of Sport or Sport +.

Yeah I tend to agree. E setting also puts the tranny in neutral when you let off the gas. C will stay in gear when coasting and S/S+ as stated will rev higher for more power (S+ also reduces ABS and traction control I believe).

I use E when on long freeway trips and set to S+ around town.

I don't notice much of a difference between eco and comfort, but mpg drops for me almost immediately when switching to sport or sport+ even when driving in a similar manner. I don't mind though, it's pretty expected and the responsiveness and driving dynamics are worth it.
