2018 GLC300
2021 GLC300w steering wheel oscillation

New car. Random and intermittent steering wheel oscillation (about .5 inch either direction). Happens about 55mph, have driven up to 80mph briefly with no underlying vibration.. Stepping lightly on brake and slowing stops oscillation. Steering either direction no effect. Happens more frequently with 35 psi in front tires, less with 33psi. Only happens around every 2nd or 3rd drive. Happens on smooth, new interstate roadway.

General impression is that steering has much more road feel and is lighter/sensitive compared to 2018 GLC traded. Distronic also seems to wander slightly compared to 2018.

Making appt with dealer but looking for anyone with similar experience. Love the car otherwise. Dealer here is good so don't anticipate any issues.

Thanks for your comments.

usually, in past cars I’ve had, this means a problem with alignment... perhaps even balancing of a tire if one is defective.. but I’d bet on alignment first especially if it starts at specific speeds.
