Finding the right 2021

I am trying to find a '21 GLC 3004MATIC leftover as close to my wish list as possible. The dealers I have gone to have no interest in helping me to find what I want. Brokers haven't been any help either. Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you looked online at the dealer websites in your area? When I was looking, I found that what they had listed at the 3-4 in my area was pretty accurate. In fact, as soon as I saw the one I wanted online, I drove to the dealer and said that's the one for me. Took it for a drive and now it's mine.

I took CaptainMal's advice and went to a dealership that had a car with most of what I want. Is charging MSRP the norm in this environment? What is the "off-road comfort suspension"? Combined with 235/55R19s, is this good for the area's terrible NYC roads? These roads would be deadly for the 20" rims and shorter sidewall. The car also has Multimedia Package Lite, which seems to omit the Augmented Video for Navigation. Will I miss that? What is the Weight Sensing System? It's missing the Heads-Up display and the Intelligent Light System, but I will keep looking. This may be as close as I get, though. TIA

Off road comfort suspension is just the regular non AMG line suspension. The 19s shouldn’t be too bad, 55 series is plenty. I would be more concerned if it’s run flat tires or has the spare tire (which should mean regular tires).

AR Nav is really nice but some people say it’s gimmicky. I would probably end up using CarPlay most of the time anyway. You’re probably fine. Sad re: no HUD or ILS but neither are super common options.

Weight sensing is another non event standard feature, they just include it on the build sheet but it doesn’t really mean anything.

Thanks, BenjaminKohl. I think the tires it comes with are non-run flats. I hope so because it's a lease and not very cost-effective to swap. Thank you also for explaining weight-sensing and making me feel better about not having AR Nav or ILS.

P.S. I see you are in White Plains. I'm sure we drive many of the same, awful roads.

I didn’t think that any of the GLCs in the US came with traditional tires. Run flats are the norm now, even if you get a spare tire option (like I have).

Actually, that's not quite true. It has a purpose, to activate the front passenger airbag.

We have four grandkids, and occasionally I have to transport a couple of them in my C-Class (which has the weight sensing). For the eight-year old and the six-year old, when they're seated on a booster seat in the front passenger seat, the display looks normal. However, when the ten-year old boy is in the booster in the front seat, I get a message on the screen that says the passenger air bag is active. Many parents, us included, don't feel comfortable with an active airbag in front of a child, so we deactivate the trigger (an M-B part on a child seat does that), so it's good to know when the bag is active and when it's not.
