Lol if I ever get my cla 35..
Quote: I'd expect nothing less! Their business model certainly doesn't include referring business to Chinese parts sellers and indy body shops! I bet if we really closely examined the GLC43 the bumper might be slightly different and the grille wouldn't fit the GLC300......
EDIT: so let's do that! This A/B comparison would be better if you took your pic at a slight angle but it's still pretty clear that the OEM GLC43 bumper is different, so no surprise the OEM GLC43 grille won't fit with the GLC300 bumper:

I think that many people refer to grille shapes as "A-shape" or "V-shape" (maybe "H-shape" describes the GLC300 better as it's pretty much straight up and down). When my GLC300 arrives, debadged and with AMG Night Package and a black spoiler, that grille will fool many naked eyes that it's a GLC43, unless there's a real one nearby, lol!
Lol same if i ever get. My 35 the black quad exhaust and gt panamera grill make it look like 45 if I debadged( I'd never ) def wouldn't be able tell unless looked engine they about same size chassis I believe don't quote me on that 45 might be lil smidgen wider can't remember but ya there have be one next it . I'm so pissed on these delays good news I'm above mercedes now talking to Daimler Group lol 😆 they want make things right I've been batching like a Karen/Kevin but with reason . And not annoyingly but that's perspective I guess lol

That won't fit my style, based off the picture you sent. This is my GLC bumper. It looks different than the one above. I haven't been able to find one that fits my '20 style.

I don't think that Alibaba trim looks like the GLC43 trim:

Yes that's proper
Quote: I got the grille Saturday. It looks to be of pretty solid quality. I took it to a local body shop near my place and they looked it over, snapped some photos and said they'd get back to me on a price to do it. So we'll see if I go ahead and let them do it (if a reasonable price) or go at it myself. He did say that they would drop the bumper to install rather than go through the hood like the videos in this thread show.
yes that's proper way to do it. You don't want to do it other way and can't on new ones on some cases depending on what you have just easier remove

hey, I finally got the car and grille over to my body shop and they just got back to me: $250 for the install (which seems high but whatever) and they say "replacing the grill will mean we have to get the radar reprogrammed" which is news to me. Anyone? KCSam, what price did you get?

I was quoted at $236 for a national chain body shop. I found a local body shop who charged me $100. And that included dropping the bumper rather than working around it. And no, nothing with reprogramming the camera because I don't have it on my GLC. Not sure why they'd have to reprogram yours. Does that price include the reprogramming or will you have to take to the dealership to get done? If the latter, I doubt that will be cheap..

Well, no codes but the camera’s upside down! Back to the shop tomorrow. $200 install.

That's pretty bad. You'd think they'd actually take the time (what, 3 seconds?) to test the camera once retrofitting the grille before handing it off back to you.

He seemed to think it only went in one way. When he reached out about the "radar recalibration" he estimated $250 for the install (in his defense, the car is debadged so he wasn't sure what model it is, and he has had more than a few MBs that needed that recalibration; he just called the guy that usually does it and of course that guy was more than willing to do the "work"). I called and told him not to worry about the radar and pointed out that DIYers are reporting it takes about an hour. I said, "I'm not trying to grind you, I'm just hoping when it's all don you say 'that was easier than I expected: $100'"

When I picked it up I told him about somebody on the forums saying he had to align the camera and he dismissed that, saying it only goes in one way. Hopefully it's a quick fix; my wife has been away since Sunday and she's back tonight (her car).

anyone know what these different bumpers / "side grilles" on AMG-trimmed GLCs are? Here's what mine looks like in my AMG-trimmed GLC300:

Here's a GLC43 that a neighbor has:

and here's a GLC300 I saw in a supermarket parking lot:

That's because yours is a 2022 and the ones your neighbour has as well as the supermarket one is a 2019 and earlier model. I believe they updated the bumper in 2020.

D'uh! Thanks!! I should've noticed my "A-shaped" grille vs. the "V-shaped" grille on the others. I do like the design of the little fins on the older one though.

Not to reopen an old thread, but where did you find the black lower grille that is usually chrome?

Quote: Night package.
Actually, for the 2020 GLC US model, the night package requires the AMG line package, which this car in the photo doesn't have.
I have a feeling it might be wrapped.
