Shipping Completed GLC in Finland 2021
My new GLC 300 was built end of September in Finland. I was told it would be assigned a vessel asap. That was almost 2 months ago and it had still not been assigned a vessel to come to US. My dealership doesn't seem to know exactly why it has not shipped yet either.. I ordered the car mid June 2021. Has anyone else had this issue or know how I can get more info as to why it has not been assigned a vessel yet?

It's late December 2021 and I was just informed my car had not shipped due to a part not installed yet (other GLCs in Finland same problem). I want to know how for 3 months my car status was built - waiting for a vessel assignment - to part not installed? Dealership can't even give me an "approximate date" part will be installed!!

Update as of yesterday from the dealer: "They are building all the cars with missing parts. Then they install them before they get on a vessel to come here. They can’t ship without the part because it would not pass US customs. Mercedes will not tell us what part it is because we don’t own the car yet until it’s invoiced to us. Good News is you do have a VIN!
As far as an ETA Mercedes does not have one yet. I will keep you informed the more I know."

Mercedes-Benz is being very quiet about why cars are not shipping. I had two cars shown ready to ship for two and three months and come to find out it was also missing a part. At no point did the factory share with us what was missing.
