Your salesman is wrong - Surprise!!
Check out this list from iSeeCars.com, red cars depreciate an average of 15.8% after 3yrs. Grey cars depreciate exactly the same. No difference so go with own choice. I guess the low depreciation reflects the current insane used car market. Good luck and welcome.

I advise you to prioritize YOUR preference over that of the anonymous future buyer you haven't met yet. I haven't seen the gray one but that red one is hot with the AMG night package and I love the wheels. I have to believe that the salesman sees a better commission in the grey one. Use his info against him: offer a lower price for the "hard to sell" red one!
