GLC 4Matic 2020 / Pads and rotors problem

Hi everyone, new on this forum. Today I went for my B1 maintenance and was informed that my pads and rotors had glazed over due to overheating. Only 17255k miles (27770kms). They tell me it’s not under warranty. The rotors and pads thickness is still good. Anyone has had a similar issue? Live in rural Sutton, Qc no city driving and I don’t overuse my brakes, Eco, Comfort driving style. Thanks

UPDATE: The dealer has agreed to replace the rotors and resurfaced my almost new pads. They will also perform a maintenance of the breaking system (yearly cleaning), I will be responsible for labor costs approximately 500$ Canadian plus tx.

Not sure at 17K miles why they think your brakes were glazed unless there is a complaint about brake noise or braking distances. You can't see brake glaze without taking the caliper off. That's not part of the service.
I have never seen rotors replaced so early without a complaint as well. They would have to be warped so bad that you would feel it and hear it when you were stopping.
Good luck with this dealer. Either they are really good or really bad.

Thank you for your reply no mulligan, At my sevice B1, I asked the mechanic to check the lines on the rear rotors. I had not experienced any problem with break noise or breaking distance prior to. And still haven’t had any issues other than cosmetic on the rotors. I have lots of experience with larger vehicles since I had three Chrysler Town and Country since 1996, I know how to behave with these components or else it becomes a really expensive proposition. Got that GLC 2020 loaded with packages and it had 7,000 km on the counter. Apparently it was the manager of the parts department who had it.

I thought that when a dealership is selling a "manager's car", it is most likely a test driver or a loaner...
