Discount for 2022 GLC LOANER
Discount for 2022 GLC LOANER
If anyone has some reliable information regarding what type of discount to expect for a 2022 GLC loaner with about 6k miles on it I would greatly appreciate it. Vehicle is perfect inside and out, was in loaner fleet for 4-5 months. Dealer will also be willing to include an additional 1 year CPO warranty once manufacture’s ran out. CPO has unlimited mileage. I realize that this is a somewhat difficult car buying market due to limited availability of some vehicles. Thanks, have a great holiday season.
Market changed so much this year. I watched the Rise and Fall of Carvana on youtube yesterday eg Carvana bought their major inventory at the peak and the second hand car market is in the fall...
There are lots of GLC's available at the year end. Also new 2023 model is coming out, so you should get a good discount on a used CPO... I was getting emails with 1 payment free/2 maintenance free deals on GLC's from NY dealers. This week, the Flemington, NJ MB dealer that I got my GLB35 sent an email giving $5K discount on GLB250 and GLB300 2022 models until 12/31. I recommend check on the dealers around you to get the best deal. I used cargurus/truecar to get 6% off MSRP at the peak...Check the dealers with the most inventory.
PS: watch the steering wheel vibration also on 2022's. One GLC loaner had it though the dealer said it needs software update...

Thanks Serhan, I was able to get about a 12% discount off MSRP. My salesman whom I am fairly friendly with thought it was a no brainer . He would discount the brand new GLC, however, not nearly as much as the loaner. He felt a year down the road the value of the 2 vehicles would not be that different. He would make more money if I bought the new GLC, so I tend to believe him. The additional year warranty with the CPO has to be worth something as well. There is sufficient inventory on GLCs , therefore if you don’t mind too much not having the redesigned 2023 you can save a few bucks. The 2023 will probably arrive in April, most likely selling at MSRP, until supply exceeds demand, generally several months, there will be no discount to be found. I had a 2018 GLC, it was a very nice car, with no major issues. Traded it in and got a very fair trade in allowance. It too was a loaner, however, with under 3k miles. After 3/12 years my actual cost of ownership was not much more than if I had leased a Honda. Have a nice holiday season.
