2020 GLC300 touring version (but I miss my '93 300SE W140 tank)

Hood ornament

I miss the upright Mercedes star that ornamented the hood on my W140. Call me crass, but it felt good to see that while driving down a road. Does anyone know how hard it would be to replace the M-B badge with a real hood ornament?

not hard at all, you lift the hood and just pinch the clips and push upwards.

Since your car original came with the grille star though, it might look off with both hood ornament and the MB star in the grille but if it works for you, I mean it is your car do what you like.
