Tires

I am leasing a 21 GLC300. When my lease is up in Sept, I am planning to buy the car and I'd like to replace the run-flat ("Extended Mobility) tires with non run flat that would hopefully ride better. The tires are, I believe, 235R60-18. I'd like to keep the wheels. Any recommendations?

GLC 300
I have the Continental CrossContact LX25 and they are awesome - the ride is so smooth and quiet - set them to 34 PSI for best ride. Switched them for the horrible run flats at 13K and night and day difference. Have had Contis on several cars and I personally have had a great experience with them

I’ve run Pirelli Scorpion A/S on another vehicle and absolutely love the ride, rain/snow performance (even though they are all-season). They are designed for SUV and Crossover SUV. Best tire I’ve ever had on that vehicle (previously used ContiContact and Goodyear ComforTred Assurance). Recently, we got a 2020 GLC 300 4Matic off a 3-year lease which is running on Pirelli Scorpion Verde run-flats. UGH, what a terrible, terrible ride. Those stiff sidewalls make for an awful stiff ride, the tires are really worn (even at 14K miles), and they are LOUD. I plan to switch them out to the Pirelli Scorpion A/S soon.

GLC300, C300
I've also got the Conti cross contact LX25 on my 2020 GLC. Mine came with them. Quiet and comfortable. They're wearing evenly. Nothing to complain about. No snow here so I can't advise about that bit.

2020 GLC300 touring version (but I miss my '93 300SE W140 tank)
My OEM Continentals wore out in 18K miles. Replaced with Michelin Defender LT which are quieter and more comfortable. 40K miles on them so far and they have a 80K mileage warranty.
