GLC 300 4matic maintenance package

Hi,
I have GLC 300 4matic 2020year, miles 34K. Vehicle completed Service A & B, expenses are paid out of pocket, now due for third service. So
I'm planning to buy a prepaid maintenance package. I reside in Oregon.
when I visited dealer(other than the one I bought from), here is the quote they provided
next 3 services- $2700
And extended warranty-$3600, if I combine both there will be discount of $200.

are these rates reasonable? Should I shop around? if so any preferred places? Please share your thoughts

Thanks Everyone!

RE maintenance and extended warranty...

I recently purchased a 4 yr maintenance agreement for a new 2024 GLA 250 4matic for $2100. This happened to be from the selling dealer but I was moving away. This includes the brake service every two years.

Previously [within the past few years] I have purchased the extended warranty for the maximum allowed of 2 yrs for ~$2500. This was for a CPO 2012 GLC 300 4Matic.

The prices are affected by whether the purchase is for a new car, a CPO, how old it is, mileage, and how soon after the purchase you decide to buy the additional items.

I would investigate better pricing from other dealers anywhere in the US as all official MB dealers MUST honour the agreement, no matter where it is purchased.

I would search the various forums in MBWorld for further information.

Cheers!

I purchased a 3 maintenance service package in January 2024 for $2100. 2020 GLC 4matic, 34k miles certified pre-owned. Bought the vehicle in January 2023.
I had received an email from Mercedes corporate that was offering discounts on maintenance plans, that's what made me act on the plan. Saved a few hundred due to that, and given recent inflation it seemed prudent to lock the price in.

Absolutely shop around. The price offered from each dealer will actually vary on both prepaid maintenance and extended warranties.

I've never understood the "value" of prepaid maintenance. I have an expression that comes to mind: "I could get hit by a bus" so I don't like to pay for anything till I need it. Service A's tend to cost me $300-$400 and B's $500-$600, and SA's often apply discount coupons.

I don't see the logic. If you got hit by a bus you won't need the money you hoarded either.

If you rode the bus, you wouldn't get hit by it. And you wouldn't need the car. Solved.

Im curious if those pre-paid services include everything that the car is saying it needs due, or is that just Service A and/or Service B and additional service like transmission fluid/filter, spark plugs, brake pads and rotors etc is extra? From my understanding when you bring your vehicle in to Mercedes for service they just plug it to there computer and the car basically says the services needed based on mileage, age and driving habits. If you go into your ASSYST PLUS menu it should list the next services due and when.

What does the extended warranty cover? I would seriously consider getting one, depending on what it includes.

In general you can go online and find discounts for services for your local Mercedes dealer.

the maintenance package does not cover other things like transmission fluid/filter, spark plugs, brake pads and rotors etc

but it does include the brake fluid flushes every two years

my service manager said the transmission service was included as was brake flush, but brakes pads are a wear item so not included.

That's what our 48 month service covered with PPM. Two A and 2 B services. Plus plugs.

I was surprised that it was that complete, because we only had 18,000 mi on the car, but everything was covered except wear items, which we obviously didn't need.

Hi
I am surprised at that
However, we have never reached, in 4 years, the stipulated miles for those services to be completed
but, I suppose if you are able to buy the contract after 20k or 30k miles, then those services can be included since you will get to 40k or 50k within the term of the contract

Service every 10,000 mi or 12 months - whichever comes first - is what is included in your prepaid maintenance.
48 months would be two A's, two B's, two brake fluid flushes, and plugs. It would be according to time.

If you sell the car before the end date of the service contract, do you get a prorated refund?
