How to replace the rear wiper blade? 2021

I have searched the internet and no luck. My rear window wiper arm only lifts up like an inch or two. How do I get the old wiper blade out?

Thanks
Rodney

If you've already acquired a replacement wiper blade, there shuold be included in the package some instructions about the attachment coupling and how to release it.

I bought aftermarket blades. They have some generic pictures only on the sheet.

Thanks

I am 99% sure that the rear wiper on my old 2004 C240 was the exact same as my E63S, E350 and GLS580....exact same. It just pops off (and on the E's it is their favorite thing to pop off in a car wash).

Mine is not like that. I did figure it out. The confusion comes from the aftermarket blade having a clip on it. I looked at my blade and decided to just pull the blade off the arm as I could see how it clipped into the slotted openings. Then I took that bracket off the new blade and it snaps in place. The arm is well bolted to the door with a nut. Will never come off.

Sorry I wasn't able to help but I am glad you figured it out. Was the vehicle purchased used that is why it has an aftermarket blade or am I not understanding you correctly?

The arm is OEM MB. The rubber blade is aftermarket.

I see, so the confusion lies there.

The aftermarket blade matches the OEM MB blade 100% once that extra clip is removed.

Bought on Amazon. Seem to be nice quality. Did not cost all that much. $23.79. All 3 blades.

You should find some directions in your owners manual as well.

Looks the same as my G550's rear wiper. I found a replacement at Napa p/n 6012Z for about $14.

I thought when I ordered them it was just the fronts but it also included the rear one.

this thread helped me as i was stuck also. But the arm does come off. Once i popped the old blade off i pulled up enough while holding the arm and it locked into place about 3 inches out. Then the arm fell off into my hand because i already had the nut off. Lol

I believe there are 2 types. You have a style different from mine. They went to my style because3 car wash brushes could lift the arm and damage it. So they went with this low lift. Mine has no nut.

Mine is a 2021. Idk anything about the newer ones but it seems crazy that they'd be bolted in from the inside. What's under the cap where it attaches?

I'm wrong. Mine does have a nut. I took off the nut but the arm was not coming off easily. That is why I looked to determine how to change the blade with the arm on. But mine only lifts up like 1 1/2" at best.
