Question Service Question

So, my step-son bought a 2021 GLC300 about 5 months ago and its pretty nice. We have changed the oil on it a few times and tomorrow is the rear brakes. We are sitting at around 62K miles.
This kid is not very mechanical and when I got into his SUV I saw another service message on the dash. This one said something like...Service AC overdue by 500 miles. Is that trying to say he needs a
Service A & C or is there something with his A/C? Seems like a silly question, but I am not sure. He drove by a mechanic friend of his, and he told him to change the air filter and that should fix that issue. WTH??

I will look at the air filter after I do his rears. Going with Akebono's as I have had good luck with them.

Any advice on the service reminder? Thank you in advance...

I've seen this message before. Service A C. Not Service AC. I don't follow the Mercedes FSS (flexible service system) reminders because my intervals are more aggressive. For example, oil changes every 5K miles, air & cabin filters yearly, transmission service @50K miles, spark plugs @50K and front diff/transfer case/rear diff oil@60K miles.

Looks like,

Service A. = Oil & filter
B. = A + brake fluid, Cabin filter
C. = A + wiper + Xentry obd check
