Hi, just got my GLC 300 2023. I got a factory installed bike hitch. What is the best bike rack with this hitch. (class 2, 1 1/4 opening)

Best… that’s going to be very subjective. What’s your budget and how many bikes?

Kuat has several that will fit a 1 1/4 receiver. I have a Kuat but it’s a 2” since I had a 2” receiver on my previous vehicle. I’d need to add a 2” to 1 1/4 reducer but that would be pretty wobbly so I’ve done nothing yet.

Many items to consider when buying a rack, with these 3 at top of mind:

1. How many bikes do you plan to carry?
2. Are any of the bikes e-bikes? Keep weight limits in mind.
3. Do you need access to the trunk while the bikes are still mounted? Some racks can tilt with bikes still on.
