23’glc300w4 “emergency stop assist inoperative
Our vehicle is only 3 1/2 months old. This is its third time in the shop. First, for the critical low battery warning along with the “stop assist warning” - they did the recall, 2nd for the “stop assist warning” replaced a module - took 4 days, and now for the same warning. The dealer said the earliest appointment we could get with a loaner is September. We mentioned the lemon law and after the service person came back she said we could have a loaner and bring it in the next day. I see this warning has been a constant problem with mercedes vehicles since 2017, a reall was issued in 2019. One would think they could figure this out! Is anyone else experiencing this warning frequently?
i think it’s a battery issue. Returned from a week in Florida to Ny. As soon as I drove the Mercedes out of the driveway the warning appeared. Had it appear 4 or 5 times during the trip. Later in the day drove and it didn’t appear. Battery charged?
i know it appears more in stop and go traffic than on the highway. So what does our service tech do? Drives 30 miles on a highway to check it…lol!
Please offer any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks
in the 2nd month, “active emergency stop assist inoperative” appears on my screen once I start the car. It prevents me from shifting my gear to D or R. The road assist guy advise me to shut it down for 10 minutes and restart. Done that, the car moves but check engine indicator still light up. Send it back to the dealership. After languishing for a few days they coded the start/stop module.
on 25th April it happen again. Can’t drive out from the parking out. Unable to shift to D/R.
After 10 days, it still marooned at the dealership awaiting all clear approval from MB Germany.
