Ride Quality - 18" vs 19"

Hello all - I am looking to buy a 2023 GLC300. I like the appearance of the AMG black line option but it increases the wheel size to 19". The main reason I am buying this vehicle is due to its comfortable ride quality on NJ's broken roads. Has anyone driven them back to back or have an info to share. I am sure the 19" is still considered "good", but I want the best ride I can get out of this vehicle without going to air suspension. Thanks in advance.

We have a 2023 GLC with 19's no air ride. We also have a 2016 E class sport with 17's . The GLC rides much better than E class. I think you will be happy with 19's, 20's not sure about

I have a GLC300 with 20" wheels. They ride fine, though obviously a bit harder than 18 or 19".
But they do hug the curves nicely.

I have a 2023 GLC 300 with the AMG night package. The ride on the 19" wheels is extremely smooth. Despite being 19", the tire is still pretty chunky. I've avoided low profile tires in the past due to the fine road conditions in NE Ohio. You'll have no concern with the ride quality on the 19" tires on the AMG wheels.

I too was looking to buy a new GLC. After reading some of the issues this car is experiencing, I decided to buy the 2022 “ old style” instead. I am glad I did. I know 2 families in NJ who have the 2023 GLC and both have had issues with them. I am sure MB will get the bugs worked out, however, after what I’ve read on this site regarding GLC WILL NOT START, and what I’ve been told first hand I would have absolutely no confidence in owning this vehicle. Best of luck whatever you decide.

My first '23 GLC had the 18" and my second '23 GLC had the 19" AMG wheels. I did not notice a difference in ride quality, both were good but I did like the appearance of the 19" better. Then I began to wonder if the 19" AMG ones would make the wheels more of a target for theft and although I did have the wheel locks that came in a box in the cargo area but never had a chance to get them installed because I had 'cooling system malfunction' with the vehicle and got rid of it before it even hit 1,000 miles!
