Horn inop alert
So this morning I’m parked in dirt parking lot at my club RC field. I had packed up my gear and airplane
and had just entered the car when a fellow member pulled up to my right and perpendicular to my position.
His truck has a camper shell. He started to back up with wheels turned to the right. Immediately I could
see that the back of his truck was headed for the right front fender of my car, so I laid on the the horn.
Much to my horror nothing happened. As I’m scrambling to start the engine the oblivious dude keeps on
backing up and ends up parallel to my car and about 12” away. It was closer before he straightened his
truck out. By then I had things fired up, so blasted the horn. The look on his face gave away his apparent
surprise at how close his vehicle was to mine.
I’m pissed the horn wouldn’t work until I pushed the Start button. Note to: when in parking lots, start
car right away. 😵💫
