I recently purchased a 2025 GLC300 4matic and also 1st time MB owner. I've read other threads and came to an understanding that Augmented Reality feature is no longer available on later GLC versions. Is this true? Not that I need it to drive but one time a salesman took me out for a test drive and he showed me AR feature on a '24 model and it looks kinda cool. Also I notice built-in dash cam is no longer available as well since there's no AR camera on the windshield. In addition, I've stumbled upon another forum and one of the members there confirmed with their dealer that Digital Light Animation will start to be available on December 2024 (due to US regulations). Has anyone living in the US heard about this issue? Other than that, I'm enjoying my new vehicle's techs and features.

Seems strange to remove AR, there is no longer chip shortage so that can't be the reason.

MB removed certain options from the GLC in 2024, making them available only on the GLC 43. The idea being MB wants to steer customers to the more expensive AMG models in order to get the options they want. One example is enhanced ambient lighting - MB removed it as an option on the 2024 GLC, but offered on the 2024 GLC 43. Not saying that’s the case here, but it certainly could be.

I just received my 2025 GLC 300 and the advanced ambient lighting is part of it, you just have to odder it and pay for it, so it is available in the standard model of the GLC, not just the AMG...if you order the Pinnacle Package (US).

Hmmm that is not a good strategy especially if people don't need the stiff ride and all that power with potentially less smooth transmission than regular MBs due to physics and tuning. MCT vs 9G TCT

Well that’s good to hear. My ‘24 came loaded including pinnacle package as well but enhanced ambient was excluded (though previously available in 2023). I was super bummed then and still am. I did get augmented reality navigation, dash cam and digital headlights however. Seems a lot of folks like to hate on the GLC but I have to say I love mine- there are other vehicles that may out-perform it but none can match the interior styling. Very unique and in my opinion, eff’ing gorgeous. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
