New 2025 GLC 350e owner

I’m just saying hello. My wife and I placed an order for a custom build on 11/1/2024, and took delivery in Chicago on March 1, 2025.

It’s our first MB, after two BMW X3s. We’re mostly excited for the new experience PHEV, etc… I bought the Wall Charger which gets installed this week.

A few slightly unpleasant surprises:

No Digital Key support
No Dashcam option
No AR mode for Nav
No massage option for seats (just kinetics)
No car wash mode

It’s pretty much a fully loaded build. I got the hitch to support a bike rack. I’ll be curious how that all works with the rear sensors, and harness for break lights on the rack. I haven’t purchased a rack yet.

Nice. Ours is supposed to be built on March 7th and none of the items you noted above will bother us.

How's your range, fuel consumption etc?

A few slightly unpleasant surprises:

No Digital Key support >> I'm not sure what you mean by "support" (the key is supported by the MB App)
No Dashcam option - Check with your dealer. It's available on mine and it's active. You need to supply the USB for it to save the recordings
No AR mode for Nav - Was your part of a deleted credit on the build? Mine has it
No massage option for seats (just kinetics) - True
No car wash mode - Unnecessary. The car already has safeguards in it where it doesn't require a car wash mode.

It’s pretty much a fully loaded build. I got the hitch to support a bike rack. I’ll be curious how that all works with the rear sensors, and harness for break lights on the rack. I haven’t purchased a rack yet.
- Be careful not to obstruct your license plate as that could get you pulled over.

My 2025 GLC350e in a very warm climate (I live in FL) can go at least 70 miles before a charge is needed again, against the ~54 miles that is reported. Possibly because I live in a tropical climate?

I think that's because the EPA test protocol is so strict. In Europe the official EV range is 120-130 km (74-81 miles).

You may need to purchase the dash cam from the Mercedes Me store. However, the built in dash cam is poorly integrated in my opinion. A stand alone dash cam works much better especially if it's wired for parking recording. I stilled a fitcamx on my c300 and it's perfect. No need to tap into the fusebox for parking recording.

Digital key support for the GLC has been delayed. https://mbworld.org/forums/glc-class...-2025-glc.html

Dashcam is not available in the MB store for my 25 350e. I bought a VanTrue Nexus 4pro with 4k resolution.

I'd like to add the integrated dashcam to my 350e, but I read somewhere that MB does not do that as an add-on. It seems like it should an easy install.

I am interested in how the tow hitch looks and how it attaches. Here is our new GCL350e and it was not optioned with the hitch, so I am looking at the Stealth Hitch https://stealthhitches.com/products/...570d5522&_ss=r I just want to make sure I am making the right move here. Can you provide a couple photos? Thanks

2025 GLC250e
I bought my 2025 GLC350e in September, 2024. In February, 2025 it started acting up. The check engine light would come on every time I put gas in the vehicle and now it comes on every time I charge the vehicle. I primarily drive it in e-mode due to my short commute and rarely put gas in it but when I do the check engine light comes on. Mercedes service department had my car for several days and told me that they can't resolve the issue but that an upcoming software update "should" fix it but they don't know when or even if the software update will be available. The service department told me just to "come in so we can cancel and reset the check engine light when it becomes too annoying for you." They have recently said that the software doesn't recognize when the door flap is open or closed and registers it as open even when it is tightly closed. This is my 4th Mercedes in a row and I absolutely love my vehicle but I can't just drive around in a $60,000 vehicle that is 7 months old and only has 3500 miles on it with a check engine light on. So - they are processing my request for a buyback under the California Lemon Law and should get back to me in about 30 days.

I just purchased the GLC350e and had it for 2 weeks and the battery compartments gets soaking wet. I was petrified to plug it into the 220 vlt charger without drying it out. The rear cargo compartment also has a 20 degree slant and a glass bottle rolled out and crashed onto my garage floor. The dealer refuses to do anything about these issues and I am sooooo frustrated. Does anyone else have these problems?

Why is there water in the battery area? Rain? Car wash?

Don't leave loose bottles in the cargo area - get a net and put stuff like that in there.
