Manual map update
I have been able to do the manual USB map update in my previous GLE, and now in my new GLC I have downloaded the map updates, but when I insert the USB stick into the car, nothing pops up to prompt the installation.
Has anyone else recognised this? The map in my new car is 2024, and there's a 2025 update. Yes, this will be updated automatically eventually, but I'd like to do it now (and sort this as I'd like to update the european maps for a trip this summer).

Ok, so I tried something different - previously I had exFAT and did it on my Mac. This time I tried it on a Windows PC and formatted the drive as NTFS.
And that worked! I only updated the UK region, it was quite fast, only took a few minutes. I'll go ahead and do the other regions now.
I hope this helps anyone else struggling with this!

It would had been nice if the MB download manager does the heavy lifting for you by formatting the drive to the format it needs, with permission from the user of course and a warning all data will be wiped.

Looks like you're going to have to visit the dealer... When I purchased MB nav digital extra in my 2022 it would not activate. I downloaded a map update from the portal since I had access to it after purchasing the nav. Installed it and it asked me for an activation pin!!! MB customer support is zero help when it comes to tech issues especially digital extras / mercedes me. So disappointing and there is another thread which highlights how OTA map updates are never delivered as advertised.
