New NA Map Version 11.0 is out

But I do have a question, do you use the car's map or others (Google/Apple map)? It seems to me the traffic information on Google maps is more accurate (and it tells me whether there are cops ahead), so most of the time I use it for navigation.

I'm not overly concerned about it, I'll try it again some other time. Perhaps someone had a similar experience and made a change to have better success?

One way to verify car can read your thumb drive is to put an MP3 on it and see if it will play. Not with map data, but with an otherwise empty drive. Also, when you put in the drive with the map update, did you try going to the software update setting and not see one available or did you just not see the popup on the main screen and stop there?

Here's where it gets weird and I'll have to figure something out. After sticking the drive into the car, nothing happened map-wise, as far as updating goes. It is a freshly re-formatted and new USB-C drive. When I brought the drive back in the house and plugged back into my computer, I saw video files added! The car apparently thought I want to use this drive for the built-in dashcam.
So I once again reformatted the drive and downloaded the maps again. I turned off auto loop recording for the dashcam. I unplugged my dashcam drive. So, now dash cam is apparently off. I plugged the drive back in to see if maps would update. Nothing happened, so after a while I turned the car off and brought the drive back in. When I plugged it into my computer, it had added an empty "Videocam" folder. So something's going on that's not quite right. I'll keep messing around to see if I can eliminate this flaw and I'll gratefully accept anyone's suggestions.
See the weird folder added even though Dashcam is apparently turned off

I thought MB used Here Wego as Mercedes/BMW/AUDI purchased the company from Nokia years ago. No?

And that worked! I only updated the UK region, it was quite fast, only took a few minutes. I'll go ahead and do the other regions now.
I hope this helps anyone else struggling with this!

Here are the relevant lines in the downloader log on my PC for my last update showing it recognized the exFAT drive and indicated it's good.

My MBUX version is E262.3-4975 and has been the same since I bought the car in August.
BTW, I don't own a Mac, but I thought Macs cannot write to NTFS partitions. I didn't think they can even format a partition in NTFS. I could be wrong though.
