2025 GLC SUV 4Matic AMG package
Dash cams (front and back)

Since 2025 GLCs do not come with any type of dash cams in them, have been thinking about getting both a front and rear dash cam system. I would have them professionally installed as I am not capable of performing such maneuvers myself lol My question to the page is when they are installed, I know there are empty fuse sockets available (or at least I believe there are in the cars), to avoid issues with all the electronics in these vehicles, what is the best way for an installer to hard wire the cams into the vehicle? If they need to be piggy backed onto other fuses, which ones are the best to use, to avoid any issues with the oh so touchy electrics in a GLC? I have not had any issues with my 2025 to date and want to avoid any in the future, if I decide to go this route??

Sorry I couldn't answer the hardwiring question, however I found these threads from the W206 C-Class that might help:

I also want to share a few things I think that you might want to pay attention to when deciding on the dashcam: https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post9037758

After having a 2023 GLC with the dash cam I was disappointed that my 2025 GLC was not available with the camera
i installed myself a product from FITCAMX that plugs into the rain sensor and replaces the cover with an oem looking cover containing the front camera a rear camera is a plug in option.

While it is not integrated into the Mbux system like the 2023 it is downloadedable to a smart phone.

This is the FITCAMX model for the GLC:
Amazon Amazon

I am also thinking about installing it in my GLC 350e, but one thing I wish was better in this dash cam is if the camera was in the same location where they mount the Mercedes dash cam - on the bottom left if you're looking at the windscreen from outside. In my car there is a plastic cover in that place. FITCAMX dash cam is on the right and protrudes down a little.

Another option for powering the dashcam is the 12v power outlet in the passenger side foot well, left side.

Could consider dashcam battery instead of hardwiring.
