Yesterday I got the dreaded 12v battery alert with a message that said remote start your car to charge. Not sure if this comes from the app update or it’s a feature of the MBUX update. If you open the Mercedes Me app and navigate to the Service icon you will find the battery status. I was at work so I tried to remote start the car but it wouldn’t start till I got into the car.

Curious what it says under the Important Before Replacing The Battery?
Sorry don’t have the car any longer. The 12v has been a problem for this model year and a few other years. I had it replaced under warranty. With my PHEV it automatically gets charged if needed every time I plug in so there is no problem. You might want to ask under the X253 forum.

It says to use genuine Mercedes Benz batteries. And it also says the condition of the battery showing in the app will show if the battery is installed in accordance with MB specifications.

This has been a feature on my 2025 from the day I got it last yer... My 23 doesn't have it and my 22 also did not. Seems like it's tied to the battery hardware.
