If you have the AMG Drivers package, and if you have AMG Drive Unit on your steering wheel, that’s the 2 additional control buttons that toggle certain functions on and off, Sport,Sport+, suspension and so on
Do you also have a heated steering wheel ?
I have been told you have one or the other, not both...

I believe that getting the heated steering wheel replaces the flat bottom AMG steering wheel with a round wheel. I opted not to take that chance with my build because the flat bottom wheel was a must.
From the M-B configurator: Heating elements beneath the Nappa leather trim of the fully round steering wheel rapidly take the chill out of your hands on a cold morning. After a few minutes, the heating level is automatically reduced to maintain lasting comfort.
Both are flat bottom, but if it’s heated then no drive unit, if it’s not heated, then the drive unit is included
however my spec sheet lists the drive unit and heated steering wheel, now just before delivery I’m being told I only get the heated wheel,,,,no drive unit
so I want to know if anyone has both options on their steering wheel...
The German Configurator is always a good source to get clarity on the options and unfortunately you are correct. Heated Steering wheel and AMG Drive Unit are mutually exclusive. You can have one or the other. Heated Steering wheel and AMG Drive Unit are technically standalone options that can be added to any of the steering wheels, but you can't add both at the same time. Looks like for the USA market they bundled it strangely.
Here's a screenshot from the German Configurator with the LK6 steering wheel and AMG Drive Unit select. If I select the heated steering option (top left), it removes the AMG Drive Unit option (bottom right).
and that sucks.....and now my vehicle is not they way I thought it was going to be....with both...
the drive unit is nice, but with the cold Canadian winters, maybe it’s better to have the heated steering....ohhhhh well

FWIW, the AMG Drive Unit is awesome. I love it in my C63S. I love how I can pretty much operate every system directly from the steering wheel now like in a race car. My favorite feature is that I can press the drive mode selector knob to immediately engage Individual mode regardless of what current mode I'm in, and I find it in general much more intuitive to use a rotary knob directly on the steering wheel to change the drive mode. The center console controls are nice for redundancy and for some of the lesser used functions, but they take much more concentration and focus than the steering wheel controls. The AMG Drive Unit totally changes the driver experience IMO. I can see the appeal of the heated steering wheel. I don't live in a cold climate, but have before and honestly I would get the AMG Drive Unit, no question. Unless you end up driving in Comfort mode all the time it's something you'll be using all year around and throughout the drives. The heated steering wheel is a bit of creature comfort until the interior has heated up and everything is warm anyway. Definitely not something I would choose over the AMG Drive Unit.

Given that Mercedes makes tweaks every model year (small things except for facelifts) and considering that we're getting toward the end of this life cycle, is it possible they might enable the heated steering wheel and AMG Drive Unit to be combined for the 2021 MY?

I doubt it. My guess is there is no room in the steering wheel for both circuits and they will not design a new steering wheel outside of a facelift. I think this is similar to the Performance Seats not available with ventilation and they finally designed a new Performance Seat that supports ventilation as part of the FL, at least for the C Class. I think the GLC still doesn't have the option of ventilated Performance Seats.
The tweaks they do between MYs are usually things that were available in Europe and other markets already, but simply weren't offered in North America. All German manufacturers do that. They revisit their packages and options every MY. But MB is not as bad with not offering things from the beginning that are available elsewhere.

I definitely get where you're coming from but I just specced a Macan GTS on the configurator and you seem to be able to get a heated steering wheel with Porsche's version of the drive unit, so there must be a way for them to get both on the same wheel. I hope so anyway because I may finally be ready to get one later this year and I'd love to have both - otherwise I have a hard choice to make.
love the drive unit.. loe heated steering but just remote start the car and warm it up before you get in... worth it for the drive unit ..how I build most of the 43/63's
Since it wasn’t the way I thought it was going to be equipped, I cancelled the vehicle, and found another, it has the Drive Unit, but no heated steering, seems like a better way to go.
so a bit more of a delay in getting my vehicle, but what the heck, I’ve been waiting since November.....
I tried to get both when I placed my order late 2019. I ended up going with the drive unit.
I ended up on the phone with the national folks. MB Canada is trying to get this restriction changed.
the same wheel... flat bottom... heated... AMG drive unit. Is available in the S Class. So I tried to special order a configuration. But they won’t let you cross options between vehicles. Boo.
I build all our dealers cars for the most part. and I build every amg with the drive unit over heated steering wheels even though I'm northeast region (mid Atlantic really) . It's may and it was like 35-40 degrees F yesterday lol.. Drive units are too awesome looking
