I think 2017's are still being built. I did European Delivery for a 2017 and my pick-up date is 6/21 and I don't think it's been built yet. With that said, I think the 6% discount is a good target when I was looking at on-shore models. I got 7% + $1K with ED and no destination so just about 11% but I just got Package 3 and all that it requires, so MSRP was like $54K which seems less than the more heavily discounted MSRPs. Most of what I saw local was $1K off Package 1. And I looked across 3 Northern states (MN/IL/WI).

My sales advisor just emailed me the pricing for my MY18 build. Pretty stoked to see it's another step closer.

Did you get a copy off all of the option prices or did he just tell you the number? Could you post it if you have the prices?

He gave me a copy of all the option prices for my build. Here's a copy of what was provided (hopefully you can see since I'm posting this from my phone and he sent me a PDF). I didn't get the drivers assistance package but a couple of the other bigger packages:

So the AMG performance exhaust is not a standard option? What came on the MY17 GLC43? I thought it was a standard option on these "AMG" models.

Similar to some other AMG models, the standard exhaust is a sport exhaust, not the AMG performance exhaust. The AMG performance exhaust has some additional tweaks (I think the mufflers are also a bit larger) and also allows for manual control of the valve flaps within the exhaust. The MY17 does not allow for manual control of the flap in the H pipe. So the MY17 still has a 'sport' exhaust, similar to what is standard on the MY18, just not the AMG performance exhaust.

Well, it seems like I am paying a bit more for a bit less....~$800 more and no ambient lighting. Outside of that it should be the same.

Kind of stinks as I was merely procrastinating to procrastinate and I could have had a MY17 ordered had I moved a bit faster. I think I missed the lockout by only a few days.

What I found to be a bit odd, which I see also applies to your sheet, is that it lists the Black Ash and High Gloss Black trims and states "price not on file" -- I was starting to worry that maybe there was a glitch on mine and they would flip a coin to see which interior they would end up putting in it. I wonder if there will be an additional cost addition for the Black Ash (albeit minor if like 2017's) or if this is the final price. I'm personally obsessed with lighting, though. So the ambient lighting with full adaptive LED headlights were a must over the standard headlamps or the static LED lamps. Your build looks solid, Vet11B.

I noticed the interior trim when I first put my order in back in March and immediately asked my rep about it. He was quick to respond that it will be ash and aluminum and to disregard the high gloss bit. I also don't think there will be a price add on for that, as the DOG lists it as standard. So, I'd be surprised if this isn't the final price.

Funny thing on what is a must, but I actually built mine with a personal stipulation of no blank switch covers as those drive me mad. I don't blame you on the headlights and I originally had them in the build until I was told it would delay my delivery. Looks that was something that cleared up, but I still haven't added it back on. For me the benefits gleaned from the adaptive headlights are not worth the cost of entry, but I can appreciate your desire for them. I haven't used an intelligent high beam unit yet but have used several adaptive HIDs in the past and they work much better than static units.

Edit: Just checked the DOG and it seems I was mistaken the Ash/AL has an "Option Price $TBD" under it. Nevertheless, I think a price would have populated if it wasn't the standard no cost trim....and while I am at it, $1150 for CF? Geez, that seems like a lot of cash for a touch of CF.

My previous cars have had adaptive LED's and automatic high-beams -- I'll be honest it's so rare that I drive in a scenario that even requires high beams that I think I used it... once? The adaptive portion of the headlights is nice but, similarly I don't know how big of an advantage it is other than looking neat. I'll just appreciate that the full housing is LED (I think the static LED's still have halogen high beams but I could be wrong, I'm just basing this off the picture) and, of course, what more to win me over than a little bit of mood lighting in the cabin

The mood lighting is what I am really missing out on. The Static are full LED (via the DOG), but I really chose them for their looks as I am not keen on how the Halogen units look.

Either I have an outdated DOG or I am misreading or the picture is lying. It just doesn't look like a full LED housing to me, the high beams still look like they aren't LED or even HID. (Looking at 632, the static LED option):

Of course I read it more carefully after I post... it does state "all functions feature LED technology" -- just doesn't look that way in the image. Oh well... what do I know.

Agreed on the high beams looking more like halogen. I guess I'll find out in July whether the photo or language is correct.

I can't help but be baffled that there are still $50K+ USD luxury cars out there that don't come standard with, at the very least, HID's

Some users' photos and it appears that the highs are not LED....

This is a great shot of the lamps and I think this is a US model

This is a US model for sure.

I emailed our salesman for the price and there were three options on there we didn't order: Wheel Locks, Roof Spoiler, and the Logo Projector. The build also lacked black seatbelts (I certainly don't want brown with red seatbelts, yuck!). I emailed the salesman and later talked to him on the phone. He said that the options would be of no charge to us and he would try to get rid of the roof spoiler. He then said that Mercedes changed the order to meet a VPC option quota. After showing the roof spoiler to the people with the checkbook (my parents), I called the salesman once more and told him that not having the same spoiler on the car as the factory-painted spoiler that leaves Germany would be a big problem; I also made sure that the car will have black seatbelts, not red. This may be a problem though as the car starts production in the first decade of June. We'll see. The build is below

I guess the figured there were some boxes you meant to check but missed. That's one loaded ride. Just need the Mango flat paint to finish the list.

Yeah, it is pretty loaded. With the way my Mom drives, we might regret not getting the driver assistance package lol. I don't mind the additional Logo Projector and wheel locks, but the roof spoiler just looks too busy IMO. Red seatbelts in a blue and brown car will also look horrid. But hey, a blue exterior and brown interior with red seatbelts would still look better than even the best matte mango GLC

Boosted are you sure you are getting red seat belts? I may be missing something on your attachments but if you ordered saddle or espresso brown your seat belts will be black.

While it shows that on the configurator, black seatbelts were an option when we built the car. I feel a bit more at ease as on the MY18 DOG, it says that black seatbelts replacing red requires the black w/ red stitching seats or the dinamica. This leads me to believe that everything else has black as standard. It is still odd though how our original build sheet had black seatbelts as an option (it's on this thread).

Thats a great build and sure it will have black seat belts. My 2017 is arriving in about 3-4 weeks. The waiting is hard. Do you know what 99B Steering Code means on your build? I have that on mine too and was not sure what that meant.

Thanks! I'd guess that the 99B steering code is just one of the standard codes (like the transport codes) that really makes no difference, nor does it have significance. Personally, I think they should make 99B a code for hydraulic steering

Thanks - reason I was asking about steering code I hoped it meant the square bottom code. My interior is espresso brown and i have no idea whether my steering wheel is round or square bottom. On the MB website when you choose espresso brown the steering wheel changes from round to square bottom depending on other options. With saddle you have no concerns - its square bottom.

Good observation. We specifically left out the heated steering wheel so we could get the AMG wheel. After getting used to the e9x M3 wheel on my 1 series, the standard, thin wheel on the heated steering wheel equipped GLC43 I test drove felt especially horrible.
