Nav Display Question

I just bought a 2017 GLC43 Premium 2, so I have a nav function. Please see picture.

Notice the diagonal bars in the background? When I test drove the car twice, I would swear they didn't exist on the screen.

It makes the street names hard to read and the aesthetics look like crap, IMO. I even thought something was wrong with my nav and took it back to the dealer. They showed me that a GLE has the same same display (but a CLE didn't - beautiful graphics).

Does anyone else find the display somewhat lacking due to the bars and monochrome appearance?

So, yours doesn't have the gray bars like in my pic?

Here's a better pic of what I'm talking about.

Again, the gray bars on the GLC43 are supposed to be there?

Mine does not have those lines.
What's the version of your map?
Mine is version 8.0 (2016/2017).

Don't know without looking, but I bought it 2 days ago so I'm assuming it's the latest.

I'm pretty sure mine does not have those lines... I'll take a picture next time I'm outside.

That looks terrible from those pictures.

To the OP, that looks horrible. Try switching to 3D map view and then return to top view see if that fixes anything. I keep mine in 3D map view. I would take it back to the dealer if you can't adjust those lines.
