Considering buying a new GLC43 AMG
Just in the feeling out stage of buying a GLC43 AMG.... LOVE the car. Love how it handles, rides. Pretty much everything. My background is mostly German cars owning 3 VWs and one Audi. currently I'm driving a 2010 Range Rover Sport S/C.... Yeah yeah I know, here comes the teasing lol. I'm used to it.
Anyhoo. I'm seriously considering going Mercedes and I am excited but I want to go into this with my eyes, head and heart wide open so as to have no suprises... I guess my question is; What can I expect in terms of price flexibility and is there anything I can negotiate or should look for during the test drive.... I'm really new to Mercs and I can't wait to learn more about them. So far I'm VERY impressed with how intuitive and fun the 43 AMG is.
Also, if the car is on the lot vs being built is it possible to negotiate a lower price? I'm in Ottawa Ontario Canada and working with a rate of 3.90%
Cheers and Thanks
Pablo

Basically, a lot of dealerships show no flexibility for 2018 orders. Your best bet, in my opinion, is to email a bunch of different dealerships and wait for the best quote. I emailed six dealerships and out of those, I got the following responses: We can't price a 2018 (1), 5% off (1), 2.9% off (1), 0% off (2), no response (1). Pricing has not been released yet for 2018s so you'll probably want to negotiate based off of percentages instead of dollar figures. If you are interested in a 2017, you can get them below invoice (from what I've read), but they are a hot car. Going back to 2018 prices, I negotiated 6% off MSRP for my Mother's GLC order. 7% is basically invoice, and seeing how popular this car is, dealers have no reason to sell at or below invoice on a built to spec order. Good luck!
I'm not surprised by that response and I will definitely do some shotgun spamming to see if I get any bites but I'm not holding my breath. The Range Rover is a nice car but man when they break they BREAK, and it ain't cheap. We'll see what happens.
I see you're from Ottawa.
I've had my GLC43 since November 2016.
I hope you do better than I did 'cause I did not get any discount when I bought mine.
Of course the dealer keeping say the car is selling like a hot cake, maybe they do, but I haven't seen a single GLC43 since I've got my car.
Good luck.
Yeah I'm gonna go to Montreal and see how I fair there. MTL has about 10 MB dealerships so my chances of scoring a deal is far better. Also, we may even wait a year and tough out the repairs on the Range Rover. Just got new brakes, new articulating rear sway bar and new fuel line..... Repairing as it breaks down lol....
love mt Rover but she's a finicky ***** lol
