I had no status with United either.

It turns out they will status match. And in addition if you are Marriott Platinum you can get United Premier Silver by just linking accounts online.

I applied for status match and went from no status to Premier 1K in one week.

 

Have you asked for a discount on the E63S yet? The Mercedes people tend to work on what you ask them for. You could say you have waited long enough and want them to help you buy an E63S instead. The price diff is too high, so can they give you a discount to partially help bridge the gap.

Having placed my order in June and having documentation that the dealer promised September delivery, they got the point.

yep, they stated they needed too go through the process of finding out details etc. I came right out and told him I wanted an incentive on an e63s wagon to be retained as a customer.

Congrats! I'm swaying towards a GLC63 and the wife is keen on getting a Macan GTS (the C63 is her daily). Both priced about the same. Not a bad problem to have.

Does anyone know when the new dash/screen layout will trickle down to the GLC?

 

I heard 2020 model year. The news on the 2019s should be our April. I was told they will be the same as 2018.

That would be too long of a wait. My RDX might fall apart my then I guess she can go to the next C63 while I get the GTS. She only has 27K miles on her 2009 C63.

While I would prefer some separation between the gauge cluster and main screen, this is much better than the iPad solution.

 

Well - the official update from Mercedes - my car, ordered in June 2017... WILL NOT BE BUILT until BEGINNING of MARCH 2018.

Working on getting an incentive/assistance resolution from MBUSA to keep me with the brand. Otherwise, the search begins for an alternative.

 

Mercedes is having a ridiculous supply chain issue.

Massive delays with E Class and E63 models too. Regular E-class production has run out of digital cluster so if you want that option you have to wait till September. Also brown leather is sold out for the foreseeable future. E63 production delays too as the shortage of electronics is affecting AMG production even though parts are prioritized to AMG.

Just heard from MBUSA today that cars will be SHIPPING in April... NOT delivered. Likely going to be on ground in May/June based on prior delivery timelines.

In addition - still have a scheduled build date for end of February - even though there is no workforce to build them right now (German auto unions went on strike last week and still are striking)

 

 

My build also will ship in April per mbusa... I have a 2D Feb date....

Usually 1 month on ship to get here, more to west coast... mid may to early June.

hence why I'm working on getting out.

I wouldn't take less than 10k incentive to account for depreciation

 

My GLC63S order from August 17' with originally estimation for December, was firstly postponed to March, later to May. When I asked about canceling order they told me I will have to pay 50% of car price Partialy I am looking forward this new car, but that looong process makes me crazy

 

Are you legally bound to the order? i can't imagine how they can hold you to 50%

 

No way they can hold you to paying 50% of the car price if you cancel - that's unjust enrichment and unconscionable so enforcing should not be possible, even in Switzerland. They would have laws against that and I know Swiss law includes good faith dealing, which this is not. And I'm speaking as a lawyer and as a German.

 

That would leave me with a bad taste with the brand.
