2018 GLC63 Pre-Trade & Order
After lots of flip flopping I decided I wanted to the C43 coupe for the 4 Matic but then realized I needed the hatch space over everything else. Lead me to this point of deciding the GLC63 (SUV) fits my needs best. Would love to have an S version, but the coupe is a bit tight.
Anyway... I Pre-Traded my High Altitude Grand Cherokee in this past weekend and the waiting game begins to configure it!
Color will be Obsidian Black or Selenite Gret
Interior will be black with heated and cooled seats
Night Package
Performance Exhaust
Those options we know are coming, but curious to see what else.
I'll update this as we go along. Im in the Midwest USA.

Ahhhhhh the waiting game. Welcome to the club. I ordered my GLC43 about a month ago.... it's been a very long month needless to say, and another before she even gets built. Much excitement pulsing through you with a 63 on the way I'm sure.. do you know when yours starts production? It will be a thrill!

I think I remember reading something around January '18 for those. Perhaps they haven't worked everything out for options and packages so you can't build. Either way, even building without a price was weird for me.. I don't expect there to be a huge difference but there's just that risk of who knows how the '18s will price out.

If that ends up being the case I'd be very happy. I dont see those dates in the US release though. One in EU yes.

I'm not going to argue on here about the price of it. Ill glady post the build sheet ect when I have it.
This dealer already got my trade and my deposit and they've also had a few AMG's sit for a loooooong time on their lot that they ended up selling at a discount well over 10%, so this is guaranteed $$.

EDIT: I forgot about leasing, are you doing that? There are plenty of ways they can manipulate that to rip you off there too

I'm not doubting your claim that you got 10%. The problem simply comes down to the numbers. Either they are making a lot of money on your trade, they know they won't get an allocation (is it a small dealer?), or there is a ton of holdback money for the car. Seeing as how the 43s didn't have a lot of holdback, I doubt the 63 will either. At 10% there is a good chance that they are losing money. I don't see why they would offer that discount on a brand new, never seen before AMG model built to spec.

A few interesting factoids about 2018 GLC63
1) While Apple CarPlay is available, it isn't available with the COMAND system. This is really annoying IMO. It means we still have the old COMAND system and not the new one which supports CARPLAY. However since I'd rather have COMAND for the bigger screen and in-built NAV, no CarPlay for me.
2) With the Designo Platinum White, it forces you to get Cherry and Black Laquer Wood Trim. This is a totally brand new trim which is not in the ordering guide posted above. So I'm very curious what it looks like. I'm sure it looks great.

Is the L6J AMG Performance Steering wheel in Nappa available on the GLC43?
It has an option price (not filled in) and notes that this is standard on the GLC63, and doesn't say that it's GLC63 only, so is it safe to presume that 2018 GLC43's can be ordered with that wheel?
