Ah, ok, gotcha. I put it up there for the runs, took it off when I got home. It won't live there. Magnet mount is easy on, easy off. It will end up being a bit of a routine as the windshield mount for the iphone vide will come off when I'm not running it either. I don't expect to use it all that often once I get a consistent idea of where the car is at, generally speaking. The idea was to get some baselines at the track to compare against the Dragy, make some mods, test again next week. So far so good, the little marshmallow is bracket racer consistent. The Dragy read a very consistent .100th off every pass so to be accurate to the .10th is impressive. Heading out to the garage to put the intakes and JB4 on here shortly!

I like that BMW has a metal cent speaker cover on the dash. It was a perfect place to stick my Dragy.

The JB4 is a fine little tool, just don't get crazy with the maps and run and submit a lot of logs. I got a little Greedy with the one on my BMW and may have hurt my motor a tad. I never can get a piggy-back as smooth as an ECU tune so I always go ECU now.

That sounds like solid advice! I did manage to put the BMS intakes and JB4 on yesterday. Was initially a little dissapointed with my first few test runs. The car felt like it was hesitating pretty heavily between shifts 1/2 and 2/3 - defintaly didn't have that "bang" shift that it was showing stock. I assumed that to mean it "felt" slower but it most certainly isn't. I was able to get out this morning after dropping the kids off at school to log a few pulls and it has most certainly picked up a few hp. I'm running map 1 right now and intend to leave it that way at least through this weekend when I can get some more runs at the track. I'll be very very happy with a docile 12 second daily driver. Will likely move to map 2 after that and get some more runs in at the track and then leave it alone. Have no intention of playing with E85 or WMI.

Not super happy with where the JB4 is mounted. It's under the rain tray on the drivers side and I hate how the wiring isn't long enough to route cleanly. I may take it all apart and try to re-route everything from the passenger side. I don't plan to cut up the factory engine cover. There's no good way to install it after the fact, not that I can find anyway. Open to suggestions.

Stock pulls on the Dragy when I first got it. Street.

Pull from this morning, JB4 Map 1 w/ BMS intakes. Street.

Wow. It takes a lot of hp increase to get from 12.9 to 12.5. Curious to see what happens at the track. At a minimum, more sad Mustangs and Challengers.

Love the look of the bms intake. I have mst intake. I might switch to the BMS just for the look.

I see most of your problem now....you are missing 2 cylinders...lol...

I ran mine under the cowl cover on the drivers side, on my BMW. Are you suing the BT kit?

I never could get min JB4 to smooth out at shift points. It was fast but would have ben way faster if it didn't fall on its face at every shift.

A. - LOL - theres no denying that, period.
B. Yes, using the BT kit - works like a charm. Have a few logs already, although still learning what I'm looking at
C. That seems to be the case...I'd much rather be safe than sorry if it's pulling boost and slowing throttle position but I do already miss the slam shift, at least from 1 to 2, and even when manually shifting. But I suppose I'd trade safer on hardware and quicker for slower and harder on components lol

Finally was able to source my Thule set up for the riding season that is finally upon us here in the Mid-Atlantic after a long winter. I do most of my riding from my house but I do travel a few times a week to meet up for group rides and while I ride to as many of those as I can, some of them are in an area that inaccessible by bike (bridge crossing with no bike lane or shoulder). This was a bit of a tricky thing to source believe it or not, the bike industry has been hammered the past year with the number of new riders entering the hobby/sport. COVID introduced a lot of new people to riding and as a result, most bike shops and even online retailers are regularly out of stock and items are on backorder. I had to source the components for this from 3 different sources after my local bike shop couldn't get the parts for me. Super stoked, goes on easy and is removable in about 5 minutes tops. Full sunroof operation is maintained - a critical requirement!

I assume this was directed at me? If so, no sir. These wheels are off a 20 AMG GT 4 Door Coupe and the width/ET sets them out a good bit more than the OEM set up. No spacers required I freaking LOVE them

I like the black badges. I also like to debadge a couple. Like leaving AMG, getting rid of glc and what ever follows glc, getting rid of the side badges. Has anyone done this? Pictures please

I just left the AMG on back and the V8-Biturbo on the sides but changed them all to black on black.

If anyone wants to know which AMG, they can run me.....

Hard to believe we only have 16,000 miles on our 2018. Very enjoyable when driven.

I had my wrap guy finish my murdered out look with tail lights and headlights and put a smoke PPF over the star.

This is him finishing up.

Thank you! I think I've gotten mostly facepalms from the big wheel crowd since posting them - but I don't care, I love it. As far as driving?
First - it completely changed personalities coming off the 20" Goodyear run flats. The ride went from unbearable to pleasant - still stiff, but not rattle the interior to bits stiff. In fact, 99% of the interior trim that made noise when driving on anything other than perfect roads is now silent. Comfort actually feels like comfort and Sport+ is spot on perfect.
Second - shaving 6-9lbs (6 per side in the rear, 9 per side on the front) per corner of unsprung weight improved the (already fantastic) braking and acceleration. Turn in is sharper and it feels even more planted than it did before, which was already impressive for an "suv".
Third - the lower overall height of 19's coupled with the lowering module makes it as close to sports wagon as I'm going to get since we can't get our hands on a C43 wagon. Ingress/egress is car like now - I sit down into it vs slide into it.

The gas gauge went blank. One hour fix under warranty at dealer. "Checked" box for radio PRESETS goes away randomly and have to check the box again. Happens frequently. Not a big deal but with all the software problems I've had in this car...needs to get fixed. I enjoy driving my 43!

I saw a post a while back in a non mod thread about someone swapping the front fender surround black moldings on a 43 to the 63. The 63 flares out vs the 43 which is flush. I upsized to the 63 tire sizes and would just like confirmation it’s a direct for swap before ordering them.

can anyone confirm it’s a direct fit?

thanks!
