not sure if it’s going to be done this week. Possibly next Monday. Waiting to here if they shipped turbos back out yet.

Ill probavly make 12-17 more horsepower. I do have a high flow intake though which will really be useful with the new turbo upgrade. That will add about 30hp.

What was was the cost from pure turbos? I can get you my guys contact he is at the headquarters here in Oceanside, Ca

Didn’t have to do anything. I just put it in sport plus and let it loose. I also peeled the annoying sticker off the windshield as a celebration.

Car has 2800 miles on it now and the upgraded turbos are happening. The car gets continuously faster in the first 3000 miles as the ecu is learning. After my tune it ran a little weird but after a few pulls down the 1/4 mile I could feel it really coming alive.
The dealer was very adamant that I don’t use launch control until the diff fluid change at 1875 miles (or whatever mileage the sticker says). Even the aftermarket guy there who keeps pushing a stage 2 tune said not to use launch control and keep away from racing from a dig. MB is using a different fluid in the differential for break-in that still needs to be changed.
Although, I agree that they seem to be quite conservative on the 1000 mile break-in. Keeping it to only 85mph is not realistic, at least for me. Apparently you’re also supposed to keep it in comfort mode the whole time. I was just told to not use sport plus when I took delivery. So when I discovered that sport disables the stop/start system, that’s what I used. Then the girl at the AMG conscierge desk scolded me when I went in to have the Mercede Me app activated. I doubt any of it makes a difference in the end. But if you’re lead footing it in the first thousand miles and the engine blows up, they probably use that to void your warranty if they want to.

Revised Door Locking Pins

Revised Door Locking Pins ... much improved over the basic black plastic ones. A nice improvement for less than $50. These are from the GTS coupe.

Looks good. Did you just screw these in after removing the plastic ones? I have the AMG one's and they screwed on, but seem a little loose, so not sure if I'm missing something or did something wrong. Thanks!

~ There are 8 pieces total. A internal pin (white) and the chrome overlay pin. These snap together to make one pin. Mine fit tight as expected.

The original black plastic pins are discarded/removed.

Thanks, Andrew! I have the style pictured here, so looks like they install a bit differently than the GTS version...just screw on. Will check them again just to make sure I did correctly. Carry on...

I got those genuine AMG screw on ones for the front doors directly from my dealer. I just used a drop of loctite and screwed it on to the desired height.

I

received the turbos back from weistec. Getting ready to drop them in. They did a basic tune on it so I’ll be gaining 50 or so horsepower. Car is then going to weistec for a full on custom. I am deciding that I’m going to install meth injection as well and weistec wants to do another custom tune with that integrated into the platform.

You're doing meth also? You're way more serious than I am. Can't wait to see your numbers!

Me too, its going to be seriously insane. I was just thinking of doing a Renntech or eurocharged tune and race exhaust. I don't even know what I would do with all that power on the roads.

I'd like to get these same metal pins. Where did you get them? Do you have a part number?

Took my 43 to the dealer to verify the crabbing issue as advised by Mercedes customer relations.
