Tire pressure light

I got the tire pressure warning light recently after having my car for 4 months. The gauge cluster also showed the pressure warning and displayed the pressure of all 4 tires with 3 tires flagged as low. The pressures though were 39-40 psi with it being 41 after few minute of driving. I looked at the B pillar sticker and read that the front should be 35 psi and rear 38 psi. I’m not sure why the light pops up and remains on. anyone run into a similar situation? I have the 20” all season tires.

You can set the TPMS to whatever you want.
The warning illuminates when the pressure drops a few psi below the save setting. I have the 20" wheels on mine too. I run mine to the cold unladen spec posted on the fuel filler door.

Answer to the system? Run Nitrogen in your tires. Warnings never go off. Pressure don't flucuate

If you do have nitrogen in your tires, get your technician to replace those nitrogen indicator tire valve stem caps... they can corrode and become impossible to get off (and depending on your wheels, cost big-$$$ to repair).

All the nitrogen indicator tire valve stem caps I've seen are green plastic. Hard to get those stuck.

I’m having an issue with my TPMS. Indicator says anywhere from 43 to 45 for my tires, yet my manual gauge check is between 36 and 38. That’s a big difference between the TPMS and my gauge. Anyone else having similar differences?

Check with another gauge. Cheap gauges are often unreliable and even good ones will fall out of calibration with abuse.

I have a toro giveaway digital gauge but it’s old. I’ll try with a new gauge, but 8 psi difference seems high.

Can't the TPMS system/sensors be off, as well? And isn't there something in the manual about this? I think this came up in this forum or the regular GLC forum in the recent past and the individual had to re-calibrate the actual vehicle system. Just bringing this up in case NL'r checks another tire gauge and still comes up with a discrepancy.

I ordered a new digital gauge. I’ll check and report back.

I am happy to report the new digital gauge reflects the same PSI as the Vehicle TPMS readout. Glad the issue was with my previous digital gauge and not a glitch with the TPMS or the vehicle.
