Question re: windscreen air vents
Just signed-up to the forum this evening so a complete newbie!

I took the plunge and purchased my very first Mercedes - a GLC43 AMG back in March this year and am very pleased with the car. It is my only car so my 'daily driver' but only really gets driven at the weekends. Anyhow - one thing has been in the back of my mind and it is to do with the air vents on top of the dash (the windscreen air vents) so thought I would sign-up to the forum in the hope that someone can advise or give me there opinion.
When using the climate controls, either with a/c set to on or off - the air flow out of the windscreen vents is no where near as strong as it is coming out of all other vents. For example, if I set the fan speed at '5' and the vent flow option to windscreen only - the air flow from the side vents (to clear the driver and passenger front windows) is noticeably stronger than the air flow coming out of the windscreen air vents. Is this normal behaviour in Mercedes or do you have to have a certain setting to enable more air flow from these vents?
This hasn't caused me any issues with clearing the windscreen/de-misting etc..as I am getting air flow out of the vents - this is just more of an observation and would like to know if it sounds like normal behaviour or not......or if it is me just being daft!
I haven't experienced this in previous cars so am curious!Hopefully the above makes sense but if anyone needs any further information please let me know.
Thanks,
Jon
Honestly, i cringe at the use of manual AC settings in a car that has auto and dual climate systems. i usually just set auto and the car will use the windshield vents if the weather is particularly cold.
If you have had no issues, I wi;; assume that is the design. no real need for a big blower there.
