I guess this is the downside of having a staggered set wider wheels? I noticed stone chips pitting on the rear fender black trim. Also, it doesn’t help having sticky Conti tires flinging those debris.
Yep, the sticky tires kick up a lot of chit and it hits right there...have the same thing. Noticed when I was washing my vehicle about a month or so ago. Looks even worse if you have ceramic coat on your car. I’m pretty OCD, but will just live with for now. Later may replace that part and then Xpel, if I want to go crazy.
Yea, I noticed this too when I was cleaning my car and I always check for any stone chip marks on that rear door. So far so good, but I’m thinking having it xpel put on to that rear lower door for extra protection.
Same problem here even with all season Goodyears. I also have small chipping in the rear door paint ahead of the wheel wells. gonna check with my tint guy for some clear overlay especially with winter coming.
Luckily mine doesn't seem to have hit the actual paint, just that small plastic wheel arch...as of yet. Smart to get that area Xpel'd when buying new and also I got front mud flaps that seem to help a bit, as well.
