Can’t Play music using lightning cord?
I can only play my Spotify music on my iPhone thru Bluetooth audio not they the lighting cable? Anyone else have the same issue ?

That is standard. No more carplay unless you buy the hack for it. Everything is through Bluetooth.

I am not referring to a CarPlay issue.

Did it work before? We were told that no more carplay etc... everything is through Bluetooth. Nothing works through the cord.

If it’s through an iPhone, make sure you have some music downloaded in your music library. For some reason, at least for me, it only recognizes my iPhone for music through the aux cord if music downloaded to my phone plays first

This happens frequently in mine. I just do the reboot of command and it will usually start working again. Hold down the CD eject button until Command reboots.

It rebooted but just searches. I have a feeling it has to to with Spotify and not having Apple Music account?

I have used Spotify, Pandora, and Apple Music they all seem to work. BTW, if you reboot the system you will probably have to re download your phone book.

I fixed mine. I signed up for a free Apple Music subscription on my iPhone and added the song shift app. Not sure if song shift Or Apple Music that did the trick? I’m guessing Apple is discouraging people from using third party apps and to just buy from them? Anyways my Spotify now works using the cord.
