There really isn't any reason to get an ECU tune unless you are going stage 2 or beyond or if you really want to add a burble tune to a car that doesn't have it stock.

For cars running stock + tune, a piggy is the best option. And JB4 is the best of the piggies.

Now if you're building a heavily modified beast like Kingmonkey Jr, a custom ECU flash is really the only option. But his ride is a Unicorn. You're not going to find many beasts like that out in the wild.
the tune will be more linear and smooth as they will be changing other parameters opposed to just upping the boost.

in between tuners I ran a JB4 map6 that made more power than DME stage 3 tune lol. Just stay away from them as they are a joke.

Agreed with respect to Dinan and RC, but JB4 also controls adjusts timing and AFR at least for N54 and N55 BMW variants. Not sure if this functionality is switched on for the MB applications.

@KingMonkeyJr thanks for the reply man. Racechip was very good. Results with it were up to scratch. I used sixth mapping most of the time and had bmc air filters on and could beat panamera gts , mercedes cla45 , mustang gt , and even go toe to toe witch a 2014 C63 . I ran 1/4 mile about 12.5 seconds which was better than 12.9 secs stock. I took out the racechip and the cars doing fine currently. Haven’t had the issue. Whatever it is it must be the racechip. What could be the problem with the racechip?
anyways I’m not gonna use it anymore
im going for a stg 2 tune armytrix with ceramic coated dps and I’m hoping the car will run better than what it does now !
