2020 GLC43 order discount off MSRP
I am from Canada and just about to order a GLC43.
Got a quote from one dealer and I am at just over 4% discount off the total cost msrp with all options and freight
Does this sound like a reasonable % off a special order?
Thanks

GLE is even more brutal due to lack of stock. very little discounts.
If you are from GTA area, come to redflagdeal automotive forums. There are a few MB specialists/insider that can give you better idea on discounts.

So what should I expect as a good % off if I keep trying to get them bidding against each other?
Or tactic?
Thanks for your help

if you are going to wait for it to be built and your build isn’t really odd, wait and buy off a lot. I did and 11% off.

They can only guarantee a lock on the residual.
So far no discounts from manufacturer or dealer , just some incentives. this wont be easy I guess

I just purchased one that is in production. Delivery in about 4 weeks. I ended up getting a 5 percent discount. In retrospect, I think I could have gotten a little more. Having said that, I’ve been considering this car for a year and had visited a few MB dealerships in the GTA. At no time did these dealerships have more than one or two on the lot, if any at all. Whether it’s by design, or not, the fact remains that the supply is limited and their appears to be strong demand. The inventory for the SUV 43 version, on the other hand, seems quite healthy and a deeper discounts may have been possible on these. But the SUV version looks like almost every other small SUV on the road. Not an option for me.

So basically I'm getting 6 % off total with some mats and painted calipers on top.
So just present the quote to a few more dealers?
Canadians do not seem to get as large percentage discounts as us 'Mericans get. I suspect that there is less profit baked into the Canadian MSRP as there is in the US MSRP.
I also had free maintenance thrown in for the next 3 years plus a clear shield installed.
I guess it totaled 6% for you also with the maintenance added
Our GLC63 starts at $90K CAD
Your GLC63 starts at $73K USD or $98K CAD.
So right of the bat, MB make $5K USD more selling to Americans than Canadians at MSRP.
This higher the price of model is, the bigger this gap is.

Last time I played with the CAD configurator, you guys got a lot more standard features than the US cars too.
