If closey in price, which would you get Trackhawk or AMG GLC 63?
I know the Trackhawk is more spacious and faster.
AMG GLC 63 would take corners betters I assume.
Which has better technology gizmos?
Which would have more comfortable ride?
Which will be more reliable?
Which will hold value better?
If you post this question on a Jeep forum everyone is going to tell you the Trackhawk. Here, everyone will say the GLC63.
The car is awesome, I've had mine for 4 weeks and i am really impressed with the tech', so much so that I waited for a 2020 so I could have CarPlay and I haven't even bothered to use it once. The new MBUX is 1000000x better than the older COMAND. Even the gimmicky things like the multicolor/animated LED lights add a cool factor i wasn't expecting.
On paper, the mercedes is the luxury vehicle but in reality, the GLC is an entry level vehicle and the grand cherokke is a top seller, top options.
I came from a Grand Cherokee SRT which is everything the Trackhawk is minus power.
Thngs I miss from there:
Heated steering wheels with flat bottom steering (this was too much fork for mercedes)
Vented seats/heated seats/heated steering come on with car if temperature is above 80* or below 40*. This is also the case in my 40k Durango and old dodge charger. No such intelligence with mercedes
Rear entertainment system is a very nice integrated system if you have kids. not available at that level of integration on the GLC.
Driver/performance information is loaded on the GLC entertainment screen. everything from power, oil pressure, trans temp, oil temp , etc can be displayed in guages. not so much in GLC.
Remote start option in key fob, you get in, push button while car is already running, and go. On the GLC, it is app only and when you open the door or window, the car shuts down and sends yu a text or email to tell you your remote start session ended.
GLC has HUD which is amazing. not available on Mercedes.
Overall, the GLC is a german hatchback that is fun to throw around at speed. I love it. The Trackhawk is a muscle truck with stupid power and a whole lot of features and performance that exceed the germans in functionality.
If you are going to do race events often, gLC, if not, trackhawk. My GLC was 86k and i could have gotten similar discount to what you are seeing for the trackhawk but i wanted the fun of the smaller car

do not trust any tuner that says otherwise. anything they write to the car has a record.

is getting 15.6 MPG. Driving the same course the GLC gets 14,5 MPG. Well you knew it the Trackhawk only gets 12.6. It can get to 13 MPG if you can keep your foot out of it, but you just can't. The horsepower
is so usable and fun your going to play with it all of the time even in stop and go traffic it is still a blast to drive. The cops don't pay any attention to you, they don't know what it is. The Mercedes does not attract attention either. But in the stop light derby the instant supercharger vs the turbo you will be first to 45 MPH every time. Driving the Trackhawk is just plain more fun. The infotainment system in to GLC is down
right stupid as are the environment system controls. The GLC is the daily driver because it is the designated dog hair mobile. I still have to take my eyes off the road just to change the fan speed, where in the
Trackhawk you reach down and instinctively spin the big knob, the small one on the left is volume and the small one to the right is station.
On the Trackhawk I got the optional "wrap around leather" option and thought it was kind high priced but got it anyway. Man, I was surprised they were not lying, every thing is leather and beautifully done. It out does any Mercedes that I have ever had. I don't think that you will ever say "why did they do that" or " I wish they would...." in the Trackhawk. But in the GLC you will say that stuff to yourself all of the time.
If you go to a road course race track you will want the GLC. If you are going for grocery's you will want the GLC. If you are driving on course road surfaces with tar strips you NOT want the GLC. It is as noisy
as a tin can inside and totally unacceptable for a Mercedes. The TrackHawk is amazingly quite in the city and the highway.
The GLC requires high maintenance costs. The Trackhawk can have the corner garage change the oil. Which vehicle is best for you? I am fortunate to have both and can switch off. Even the adaptive cruise
control works better on the Trackhawk. The GLC tell you right in the owner manual that it can not recognize a stopped vehicle!!! There are so many idiosyncrasies with the GLC like the bucking 1st to 2nd shift
that you will have to learn to live with. I look at the GLC as good everyday transportation. When I get into the Trackhawk I feel I am going to have fun.
