In the market for a 2020 GLC63 (Questions about pricing/dealerships)

Hi GLC community!

I've been in the market for a GLC63 SUV for the past 6 months. After browsing classified listing just about everyday and not being able to find one spec'd the way I like in either the new or (very limited) used market I've decided I should seriously consider looking into ordering a 2020. I live in the SF Bay Area and talked to my first dealership today (MBSF). They said the best they could do is 5.5% off MSRP +$500 (The one I configured was $85K so i'm looking at $81K +tax and fees). I've read some older posts where people have gotten 7%, 10%, etc at other dealerships though i'm not sure if this was purchased off the lot or as a custom build. I'd like to hear the opinions of members here about the discount I'm receiving. And if there are other dealerships I should consider? I'm open to working with any dealership within a ~15hrs drive of San Francisco.

if you’re ordering that may be a the best deal for you. If you were buying any other way 11-14% is a fair deal.

what’s on your have to list that you can’t find?

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad to hear I'm receiving a fair deal. Even though I hoped for more of a discount

My basic want list is pretty simple. SUV, white exterior, black (or red pepper) nappa interior, drivers assistance package. Was looking for a pre owned 18 or 19 but there's just not enough on the market. Now that the 20 are out I perfer it for the new infotainment.

I've had my 2020 for about a couple weeks now and got 12% off a vehicle that was in a different state (was the closest to what I wanted without having to order) and was given the option of 8% off a special order. I'd keep looking around and try to get a couple dealerships into a bidding war for your business. Good luck!

Call Bakersfield Mercedes. That's where I bought mine. Nice road trip.

Thanks, will keep trying. I been told it was more difficult to get a good deal in my area and I don't mind going outside of it.

Any recommendation for a specific sales person to work with?
